Bidvest Noonan wins on the European Stage

October 13, 2023 by Site Manager

Bidvest Noonan has been named winner of the ‘Best Use of Smart Solutions’ category for its innovative Dynamic Cleaning solution at the 2023 European Cleaning and Hygiene Awards.

The European Cleaning and Hygiene Awards stands as the single pan-European recognition program for the professional cleaning sector. The event, which is hosted in a different European city each year, took place at the historic Mansion House in Dublin. Finalists from across the continent, including the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands, Austria, Finland, Italy and France were in contention.

The ‘Best Use of Smart Solutions’ category celebrates businesses that champion the integration of technology to enhance cleaning efficiency, productivity, accountability and transparency. Bidvest Noonan claimed the award for its Dynamic Cleaning solution, which employs cutting-edge sensor technology and smart software to ensure cleaning services are more efficient and sustainable. The system also delivers valuable space management information and energy efficiencies for clients.

idvest Noonan uses a wireless solution that requires no connection to client networks which speeds up installation. The sensors detect motion, temperature, light and humidity levels within the detection area. Addressing GDPR concerns, the data collected is entirely anonymous, providing information only on a specific area and not on individuals.

By providing real-time sensor data and trend analysis, Bidvest Noonan’s solution offers a comprehensive view of building usage and cleaning effectiveness. The solution redefines cleaning schedules based on actual building usage, ensuring cleaning is carried out in the right areas at the right time.

Director of Technology and Innovation, Peter Smyth commented on the win “I am delighted that our Dynamic Cleaning solution has received this award. As the cleaning industry evolves, the integration of data is increasing, driving a wide range of improvements for service providers, customers and stakeholders. We are very proud of the efficiency and sustainability improvements we have been able to achieve for our customers using this system”.

Bidvest Noonan CEO, Declan Doyle, added, “Data has become an indispensable asset in our industry, enabling better decision-making, heightened productivity, and more sustainable operations. The new technologies and approaches we are introducing, such as our Dynamic Cleaning solution allow us to deliver the best possible service to our customers. I’m very proud of the transformative impact we’re making today, and even more excited about the advancements we have on the horizon for our customers.”

May 8, 2023 by Site Manager

Bidvest Noonan, a leading provider of security and facilities services, is bringing TinyG, the global counter-terrorism information network, to Ireland for the first time as part of its Counter-Terrorism and Major Incidents conference. The event will take place at the iconic Croke Park Stadium in Dublin this month. Due to the high level of interest in the event, places for the conference were booked out rapidly, with strong demand from security and facilities professionals across various sectors.

Terrorism continues to evolve in complexity, posing a threat to security worldwide. Bidvest Noonan and TinyG aim to provide an invaluable platform for sharing the latest strategies and technologies for mitigating these threats. Attendees will hear from a host of experts, including representatives of the FBI and Ireland’s Special Tactics Operations Command. The keynote will be delivered by Neil Basu QMP, a highly accomplished former Assistant Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police and the sole officer to hold the top three positions in Counter Terrorism Policing. A recipient of the Queen’s medal, Neil played a pivotal role in leading the response to the 2017 terror attacks and went on to head the UK’s CT Policing organization, succeeding Sir Mark Rowley in 2018.

Bidvest Noonan achieves global sustainability accreditation

April 4, 2023 by Site Manager

Bidvest Noonan is pleased to announce we have been accredited by CDP for the actions we have taken in engaging with our suppliers on climate change.

CDP is a global environmental disclosure system that measures and manages how businesses engage with their suppliers, recognising best practices to reduce supply chain emissions. Our business has been awarded an A grade in Supplier Engagement, an A- in Scope 3 Emissions, and an overall grade of B, surpassing the global average rating of C.

This recognition is the result of the significant work done by our environmental and procurement teams to promote a greener future. Our recent commitment to reducing plastic waste across our business has led us to decrease our single-use plastic consumption by 95%. We have also moved to reduce the size of our packaging when ordering.

Commenting on our achievement, Bidvest Noonan Environmental Manager, Keerthana Sreenivasan, said:

“We are delighted to have been accredited by CDP, achieving ‘Management’ level status. This achievement highlights the coordinated action we are taking with our supply chain to deliver a greener world.

Our procurement teams and I have held regular meetings with our suppliers to ensure that the products we use and the way we source them are environmentally friendly and sustainable.

I am thrilled at the progress we have made, and receiving this accreditation is a testament to our work to date, but we are not stopping here. We look forward to continuing our engagement with our suppliers and enhancing our overall climate change actions.”
